Carbon &
Alloy Steesl:
- Min. 2000 rpm for drills up to 13mm diameter.
- Progressively decrease to 1000 rpm for 25mm diameter.
- Flat steel base support should be used to avoid chipping
point on breakthrough.
- Use coolant to increase drill life.
- A drill press will be needed when drilling harder steels
or when using larger sizes.

Concrete
- Masonry Tiles:
- Approx. 1000 rpm with or without ercussion.
- hange to 2000 rpm (1000 for larger sizes) without-percussion
when steel reinforcing is met.
- If tip of drill catches edge of reinforcing
steel point chipping may occur.
- When drilling acid resistant floor tiles,
drill must be resharpened frequently.

Ceramcis
- Glass - Misc:
- Use very slow speed for ceramics.
- When drilling glass lubricate with turps, drill half way
then drill from the other side to complete hole.
